Today, the plenary meeting of CEN TC 79 approved the request for liaison of SME-Safety as representative of the European SMEs in the safety sector.

CEN TC 79 is the European technical committee in charge of drafting the standards for respiratory protective devices. Commonly used European standards published by TC 79 include the series EN148 on “Respiratory protective devices - Threads for face-pieces” and all other relevant EN standards that give presumption of conformity with the Directive 89/686/EEC on personal protective equipment.
